In this lesson the professor study the kinematics of the rigid body, it explain that the motion of the rigid body can be describe with six degree of freedom, three degrees for the position of the center of mass and the other three for the rotation of the body around the center of mass. Then the most general motion of theĀ rigid body is described as the sum of a translation of the center of mass plus a rotation and as translation have been already studied in previous lessons he focused in the rotational motion. For this purpose he introduces theĀ Eulerian angles and the rotation matrix and derive the Euler's equations of motion. Then he study the Infinitesimal rotations and the rate of change of a vector obtaining the Coriolis and the centrifugal forces. In this lesson he give the homework number 4 (Homework.4)
